Central Presbyterian Church offers many opportunities for worship and Christian fellowship -- but our ministry is also much more than that. At Central, we believe our lives and ministries are a response to Jesus Christ.

"Living the faith" - we believe - means responding with love to the needs of our larger community, particularly to the people living and working in the area around our church.

As a downtown congregation in one of the largest cities in the South, this involves many things: sheltering the homeless, and providing worship opportunities and childcare services to downtown office workers, to name a few.

Central has created - or joined with other churches to support - diverse ministries of care, hope, and compassion. We sustain these ministries with our time, money, and vision. The following pages offer more information about the ways we are trying to live our faith, sharing and living out the promise of the abundant life we know in Jesus Christ.
