Faith Formation for Adults

Adults at Central are encouraged to worship together regularly and to involve themselves in Christian education classes. They are invited not just to "exhale" the word of God through involvement in one of the church's many programs of service, but to "inhale" it through a wide range of opportunities for education and nurture.

Church school classes are offered every Sunday morning at 9:45 with a variety of topics from Bible study, to current issues, to theological questions. Ongoing adult classes with rotating leadership provide learning and fellowship opportunities. Additional resources for conveners and members of adult classes are available at conveners.org.

The Church and Civil Rights: Then and Now
Summer Studies at Central

This summer we invite you to attend a summer studies series called "The Church and Civil Rights." In June, we will look back at the ways the church and its members were (or were not) involved in the important Civil Rights era in Amercia. In July, we will look at civil rights issues that linger into this new millennium; and then in August, we will look at new civil rights issues about which the church should be invovled and calling its members to engage. For more information on each week's speakers and topics - Click here.

These classes will be held in the Atrium of the Oglesby Education Building.

New to Central Church? Click here for directions and parking information. Once inside our building, greeters will be available to show you to the Atrium.

Plan to stay for worship in the Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. The current bulletin is posted each week to this website. Following worship, members and guests are invited to stay for lunch--no reservations necessary. Adults: $5.00; children: $2.50.

We look forward to your joining us.
