The Young Adults Ministry provides a place
for 20- and 30-somethings at Central Presbyterian Church to socialize,
learn, and serve together. All are welcome to participate in our
group. Though "young adult" is generally a self-defined
term, most young adults are:
- Between the ages of 20 and 40 (though we have college students
as well as people into their 40s)
- Both married and unmarried
- Without children (though young adults with children are welcome
as well!)
The young adults at central
have several regularly scheduled events involving service, study,
and fellowship. If you are interested in joining us for these
events, just show up, or get in touch with the contact person for
that event listed on the events calendar. Our regular events
include:
- Community Fellowship on the first Sunday of the month at 3:30.
We join with young adults at Druid Hills Presbyterian church to
serve dinner to about 30 homeless men and women. Contact Mary Elizabeth Pope if
you are interested.
- Young Adults Studies is
an educational event that happens on the second Sunday of each
month.
- During the Fourth week of each month, we also gather for a very casual group dinner at a different restaurant around town.
