Salt Shakers is Central’s potluck dinner group, and it is a most delightful way to spend time with your Central friends and also get to know fellow parishioners. It works like this: In September or October, the entire group kicks off the season together at Central with a low-key, semi-potluck dinner featuring Stan’s Famous Chicken. At this gathering, everyone receives their lists and information for the remaining three ever-changing get-togethers. These typically take place in October/November, January/February, and March/April.
Signing up for Salt Shakers takes place each August. Look for notices in The Weekly, as well as the sign-up table in Tull Hall after worship. At least one publication of The Weekly will include a sign-up form for those who are not in town or cannot make it to church during this time.
Please note that this activity is primarily about having fun—it is not about being a gourmet cook!
