SW, Atlanta, GA 30303
- From I-75/85 Southbound: Follow the Downtown Connector
to Exit 248A (MLK Jr. Dr./Capitol Exit).Turn right onto MLK Jr.
Dr., which is one-way.At the third traffic light, turn left onto
Washington St. Central Church will be on your right, and there
is a passenger drop off area in front of the church.(See "Parking
Directions" below.)
- From I-75/85 Northbound: Take Exit 246 (Fulton St./Central
Ave.) and stay to the right following the Fulton St. ramp.Turn
right onto the Fulton St. and then left at the next intersection
onto Capitol Ave. Stay on Capitol Ave. until you see the capitol
building on the left. At the next intersection, turn left onto
Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Continue for one block and turn left
onto Washington St. Central Church will be on your right, and there
is a passenger drop area in front of the church. (See "Parking
Directions" below.)
- From I-20 Eastbound: Exit I-20 from the right lane at Exit 56-B. Take the ramp
and cross Windsor and Pryor St. When the ramp road ends at Central
Ave. turn left. Go one block and turn right onto Memorial Dr.
Go two blocks and turn left onto Capitol Ave. Continue on Capitol
to Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. Turn left on MLK; go one block
to Washington St. Turn left onto Washington St. Central Church
will be on your right across from the Capitol. There is a passenger
drop off area in in front of the church. (See "Parking Directions"
below.)
- From I-20 Westbound: Exit I-20 from the right lane at 58A - Capitol Avenue.
At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Capitol Avenue. Continue
on Capitol to Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. Turn left on MLK; go
one block to Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington. Central
Church will be on your right across from the Capitol. There is
a passenger drop off area in in front of the church. (See "Parking
Directions" below.)
- Parking Directions:
Guest parking is available on Sundays and for most special events in the Steve Polk lot across Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. from Central at the northwest corner of Washington and MLK.. Look for the "Church Parking" sign.
Handicap parking is available during all Central events on Washington Street in front of the church entrance. Handicap access to the sanctuary is easiest through Rand Chapel, the building facing Washington Street nearest MLK.
General parking is available on Sundays and
for other Central-sponsored events at the Capitol Education Center Garage, 180 Central Ave. SW. You can stop at the curb in front of the church to discharge passengers (201 Washington St. SW). To reach the parking garage, continue on Washington St. to
the second traffic light (Trinity Avenue). Turn right on Trinity
and go one block to Central Ave. Turn right onto Central, go one
block, and cross Mitchell St. The Capitol Education Center
is on the right in the next block of Central Ave. just before
you reach the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The garage is below the street level so you turn right onto a ramp that will take you under the building. Once
parked in the garage, take the elevator
to the Upper Plaza (labeled "UP"). Walk across the plaza (in the direciton of the Capitol) and up
the stairs (See continuation of directions below).
- For Sundays and other Central-sponsored events:
At the top of the stairs, turn left and enter through the double
glass doors, or follow the cloistered walk around to the front
of the church and enter.

During office hours (Mon. - Fri., 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; 1:30 p.m. - -5:00
p.m.):
At the top of the stairs turn right and follow the cloistered
walk around to the double doors on your left. As you face
the glass doors, ring the bell to your right to let us know you are here, and
we will open the door for you.
